Alien Alien X is a friend for climbing progression that obtained its first patent in 1986, in Colorado (USA). It retains its original character but with an improved version in terms of performance and finishes.
The new Alien X features many improvements, such as the X-grip textured cams that enhance grip on the rock during initial uses. The extraction lever has been made more ergonomic and resized, transforming the Alien X into a friend that is easy and quick to handle, both during placement and extraction, and it is now easier to use even while wearing gloves. Additionally, there is now 3 mm more space between the extractor and the cams.
But the new Alien X also maintains its original character and stays true to the first patent; it is indeed famous for its lightweight and reduced volume, as well as its flexibility that absorbs rope movements, preventing the cams from shifting once placed.
