Alpine Studio Il Legame Life on the edge of existence climbing novel is written by Simon McCartney, one of the two climbers who was a protagonist in the difficult ascent of the South West face of Denali, the highest mountain in North America. It was Simon who, at about 6000 meters high, was struck by cerebral edema, and Jack, his travel companion, saved him.
After the incident, Simon abandoned the mountain, forever burying an important part of his life and also the bond with his travel companion, Jack Roberts.
This book is a tribute to their deep friendship, which was born by chance in a bar in Chamonix.
