The Atom SL Hoody by Arc'teryx is an ultralight and compressible men's technical jacket designed to provide targeted warmth to the torso during trail running, hiking, or summer high-altitude climbing. Compared to the classic model, this "Superlight" version weighs only 280 grams and focuses on maximum breathability, using stretchable and recycled synthetic insulation placed exclusively on the body, leaving the sleeves and hood uninsulated to promote thermal regulation and freedom of movement. The outer shell is made from the new recycled Fortius™ Air 20 fabric, which offers excellent wind and weather resistance thanks to the PFAS-free FC0 DWR water-repellent treatment, while the new Octa® fleece side panels enhance ventilation and reduce microfiber release. The jacket features a slim fit with articulated elbows and reinforced underarms for unrestricted mobility, completed by an adjustable StormHood™ with a low-profile and uninsulated design. The sleeves are lined with mesh to ensure lightweight protection and optimal sweat management, while the adjustable hem with drawcord allows for sealing in warmth.
