The Gamma MX Hoody jacket from Arc'teryx is the warmest men's softshell in the Gamma series, originally designed for the challenges of ice climbing and evolved to tackle a wide range of alpine activities in variable weather conditions. Made from the robust Fortius™ 2.0 fabric, this jacket perfectly balances thermal insulation, lightweight, and exceptional durability, offering breathable, wind-resistant, and water-repellent protection thanks to the PFAS-free FC0 DWR treatment. The soft fleece backing increases the warmth-to-weight ratio, while the taped seams enhance weather resistance and the structural integrity of the garment without adding unnecessary bulk. The regular fit has been updated to provide more room and facilitate layering, while ensuring unlimited freedom of movement thanks to the articulated structure and underarm gussets. The StormHood™ hood is helmet-compatible and adjustable to provide full coverage without ever interfering with peripheral vision, complemented by shaped cuffs with low-profile elastic and an adjustable hem with a drawcord to seal in warmth. The organization of space is excellent and includes two zippered chest pockets and two easily accessible hand pockets, all designed not to interfere with the harness or backpack.
