The Backland 85 W from Atomic is a women's alpine touring ski designed for adventure and skiers tackling the entire mountain, providing a perfect balance between all-round capability and excellent downhill performance. With an incredibly light weight of only 1130g for the 157cm size, it is ideal for both short and long tours. The All-Terrain profile utilizes natural wood and fiberglass with new proportions to modify the thickness curve and add torsional stiffness, optimizing performance both uphill and downhill, especially on harder snow surfaces. The HRZN 3D technology, the evolution of the original HRZN Tech, features a rounded three-dimensional tip that further enhances floatation in fresh snow and maneuverability in variable snow conditions. The Dura Cap Sidewall construction ensures edge grip and increased durability over time. The ski employs an All-Mountain Rocker 15/85/0, a versatile profile for on-piste and off-piste with an early rise tip. The edges are set with a side angle of 87 degrees and a base edge angle of 1.0 degrees for easy turns, great grip, and aggressive trajectories.
