Atomic Backland 95 backcountry ski

The Backland 95 from Atomic is an all-round backcountry ski, a lightweight and extremely stable model designed to ski on any type of snow. This ski is built for backcountry skiing across the mountain, achieving a perfect balance between lightness and uphill efficiency (only 1370 g in the 177 cm size) while ensuring ample stability underfoot to glide down the slopes admired during the ascent. The All-Terrain profile uses natural wood and fiberglass in new proportions to modify the thickness curve of the ski, adding torsional stiffness to improve uphill performance and optimize downhill performance on harder snow surfaces. The HRZN 3D technology in the tip, thanks to a unique three-dimensional bevel, further enhances floatation in fresh snow and maneuverability in variable conditions. The profile is an All-Mountain Rocker 20/70/10, with an early rise tip for total versatility, combined with a Directional Shape that features minimal rocker in the tail for greater edge contact, grip, and stability. The Dura Cap Sidewall extends from the base to the topsheet for excellent edge grip and a rounded shape that increases durability. Skiing is made easy and intuitive by the 87° side edge angle and the 1.3° base edge angle, suitable for both short and long turns.
