Beal Escaper removable descent system
Beal Escaper removable descent system is an extremely clever and innovative tool developed by Beal to free you from uncomfortable and unexpected situations.
Escaper is useful in many situations and having it with you can be convenient. Developed for mountaineering, canyoning, and designed for those who love to climb solo.

Escaper is the solution for you!
The system consists of a polyamide rope and a braided dyneema strap. Escaper weighs 90 grams, is lightweight, compact, and quick to use.
Compatible with any rope and with a diameter of 7.3 mm, it allows you to descend with a single rope.
How does it work? Pass Escaper through the belay, strap, or natural anchor. Slide the end through the tunnel created by the braided dyneema strap and at the end of the rope tie a locking knot. Once the tool is positioned, connect the descent rope with a knot and once down, pull about eight times until it releases from the strap.
