The HMS Lock by Camp is a screw-lock carabiner with a large opening, designed for belaying with a half-hitch knot or other brakes and for double rope descents. The Keylock closure eliminates the risk of snagging on the rope and webbing..
The company Camp was founded in 1889 in Premana (LC) by blacksmith Nicola Codega. His family began producing climbing equipment to facilitate the movements of Italian soldiers engaged in the Alps during World War I, particularly ice axes. After World War II, when the great Italian mountaineer Riccardo Cassin started working with the Codega family, the company transformed into a reference point for the production of all types of mountain equipment, so much so that today Camp is an internationally recognized brand of climbing tools.
