CT Climbing Technology Alpine Up is a versatile climbing belay device. It is designed for use with half ropes, twin ropes, and single ropes. It is versatile because you can use it for practically any maneuver on the rock and type of belaying you need. The Alpine Up is recognized as the most versatile and multifunctional belay and descent device ever built.

Thanks to its construction (entirely Made in Italy), the Alpine Up allows for three different uses:

• in CLICK UP mode, it works like a normal belay device, making it perfect for belaying the lead climber on sport routes thanks to the assisted manual braking; it also allows for self-locking double rope descent thanks to the retractable lever;
• the DYNAMIC mode, with manual braking, allows for belaying the lead climber on alpine routes and icefalls. The braking is adjustable with V-shaped braking grooves;
• thanks to the RECUPERO mode, the Alpine Up also allows for independent and self-locking belaying of one or two seconds of the rope team. By inserting a quickdraw carabiner into the appropriate hole, it is also possible to lower a second climber gradually.

The Alpine Up belay device comes with the Concept SGL HC carabiner made of lightweight alloy, hot-forged, with a screw lock and lever. Thanks to the lever on the narrow side of the pear, the Concept SGL HC remains fixed relative to the harness during use, preventing the possibility of loading on the minor axis. It is excellent for intense and prolonged use due to the anti-wear anodization chemical treatment it undergoes.
