The Grivel Dark Machine is a technical ice axe that combines the most advanced technologies and materials in a modern tool, designed for high performance. Made for ice climbing, this aggressive technical ice axe has a G-bone composite carbon shaft and a fully carbon handle, ensuring lightness as well as exceptional toughness and durability. Weighing just 490 grams, its geometry provides a higher balance point, enabling a much better swing. The head is compatible with the VARIO System, an innovative lightweight and modular system for interchangeable blades and accessories: naked, mini-hammer, hammer, and adze. The VARIO System allows you to choose between different blade construction technologies (hot-forged or laser-cut) and to create the best combination to tackle any terrain with exceptional performance. This version features the Katana Ice blade, an extremely durable blade made from ballistic steel.
