The HOKA W Mafate Hike is a footwear designed to combine the durability typical of hiking with the flexibility derived from the world of running. This version allows you to tackle more challenging trails while maintaining comfort and performance, thanks to the use of technical materials and an optimized structure for prolonged use.
The upper is made of Matryx mesh, lightweight, durable, water-repellent, and breathable, while the Vibram® Megagrip monoblock sole with Traction Lug technology ensures grip and stability on various types of terrain. The dual-density EVA midsole contributes to cushioning, while the breathable ARIAPRENE collar offers support and comfort around the ankle.
The quick-lacing system, with metal elements, facilitates the fit, while the dynamic elasticated mask, pending patent, helps to wrap the foot securely. The design also includes a flexible structure in the Achilles tendon area to promote freedom of movement.
Stability is supported by an external TPU stabilizer on the heel, while the outsole features 5 mm lugs to enhance traction. Overall, the shoe maintains the cushioning and comfort typical of the Mafate model, with a setup also oriented towards long distances and technical hiking.
