La Sportiva Aequilibrium ST GTX are mountaineering boots ideal for technical terrains and glacier crossings as well as mixed terrains.
The nylon upper is super durable, water-repellent, and features Honey Comb Guard abrasion-resistant zones. The GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane protects you from water and humidity while keeping the boot highly breathable. Maximum comfort is ensured by the integrated bellows tongue and the snow gaiter located on the collar.
One of the strong points of Aequilibrium ST is the exceptional walking comfort, guaranteed by the innovative Double Heel construction: the geometry with a very pronounced double rear lug increases the braking effect on descents and allows for a smoother roll, reducing muscle fatigue. The shape of the upper is ergonomic, enveloping, and precise with TPU reinforcements integrated in the toe and heel. The 3D Flex System Evo directional joint with shaped ankle and abrasion protection allows for better control of the foot placement and perfect ankle mobility.
The combination of sole/intersole guarantees protection, sensitivity, and grip. The external Rubber Guard shell protects against impacts, while the internal expanded foam material provides cushioning and lightness. The intersole is semi-crampon compatible, and the sole features a Vibram SpringLug Tech tread with Impact Brake System lugs for greater adaptability to hard rock surfaces and maximum grip on all types of terrain.
