Description
La Sportiva Akyra II is a trail running shoe designed for longer endurance courses such as Ultra Trails and Ultra Marathons. It is indeed excellent for prolonged use on all off-road terrains. This shoe is very comfortable thanks to various features present in the upper, made with three layers. The first is an AirMesh Ultra Comfort that provides, indeed, comfort in fit. Then we find a thermoadhesive microfiber application, MicroLite Skeleton, which gives flexibility to the shoe while maintaining its shape over time. Finally, on the outermost part, there are additional microfiber applications (Flex-Guard) that protect the shoe from abrasions against rocks and branches while keeping the shoe light without weighing it down too much. Akyra is a shoe equipped with unprecedented stability provided by the TrailCage System. This is placed between two layers of the upper and connects to the lacing system, also giving structure to the shoe and a very enveloping fit. The sole is finally a Fixion XT Red compound with Impact Brake System to improve cushioning and Trail Rocker system to facilitate the classic rolling of the foot during running.
