Mammut 6.0 Glacier Cord Dry glacier static rope
The 6.0 Glacier Cord Dry static glacier rope by Mammut is aimed at ski mountaineers, hikers, and crevasse rescue operators.
Glacier Cord Dry has a stretch of less than 2%, designed to increase the efficiency of rescue maneuvers and completely eliminate the elastic yo-yo effect during double rope descent.
The Dry treatment allows the rope to not absorb water and humidity, and consequently not freeze.
The extra-strong aramid construction of the 6 mm rope is designed to ensure high friction during descent, help you brake in case of a fall into a crevasse, and keep the risk of abrasion low.
Glacier Cord Dry meets the minimum requirements to be accepted by Tibloc and Micro Traxion devices. The rope has an ultra-lightweight of only 25 grams per meter and a minimal bulk. It comes with a transport case that you can use as a throwing bag for double rope descent maneuvers.
Warning: this rope, perfect for glacier rescue maneuvers and double rope descent, is not suitable for climbing. For this purpose, a dynamic rope is highly recommended.
