Mammut Barryvox 2 avalanche locator ARVA is a reliable, simple, and exceptionally fast digital device for avalanche search.
Now one of the best and most well-known transceivers in the world, we are now talking about the updated and renewed version with the addition of a voice guide, as well as many other features that we will see below:
- Rescue SEND: Protection function for rescuers not engaged in the search. In the event of a secondary avalanche, it automatically switches to SEND to allow the rescuer's location.
- Auto-revert to SEND: Safety function for rescuers searching with an ARTVA in case of secondary burial in an avalanche. If a rescuer does not move for four minutes, the ARTVA automatically switches from SEARCH to SEND thanks to a motion sensor.
- Automatic self-test: When turned on, your Barryvox checks the transmission and search function signal and regularly performs transmission and battery tests.
- Interference Guard: Your Barryvox manages and reduces signal interference and indicates any interference in transmission and search mode.
- Group control: With this function, you can easily and quickly check the transmission frequency and power of other ARVA devices to ensure their proper functioning.
- Voice guide: Your Barryvox assists you with additional instructions at all stages of the search. This function is currently not available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the United States.
- Acoustic search guide: A sequence of tones guides you in the direction of the buried person and ensures that you keep your eyes on the avalanche field during the search.
- Intuitive visual interface: It intuitively guides you through all stages of the search and provides an overview of multiple burials.
- Automatic selection: In case of multiple burials, your Barryvox will first guide you to the strongest signal.
- The reverse direction function prevents 180-degree search errors.
- Deep burial mode: If a very deep burial is detected, precision search automatically begins first (> 3 m) for more accurate guidance.
- Compatible with the Barryvox app for firmware updates, configuration settings, and training for searching with Barryvox.
- Barryvox transport system, included in the supply: safe and comfortable transport of the ARVA device on the upper body.
