Moon School Holds - Set D 40 climbing holds

The latest addition to the MoonBoard range, the new School Set D, consists of 40 Sky Blue polyester climbing holds. The ergonomic holds, with shapes like grips, pinches, and edges, will challenge your footwork and create more varied and complete movements, seriously improving your climbing both physically and technically. The MoonBoard sets the standard for indoor training and is globally recognized as one of the most effective tools for improving climbing strength. The 2024 configuration includes 198 holds, specifically composed of:

• The three new polyester sets D, E, and F
• The wooden holds Sets A, B, and C

WARNING

The School Holds D, E, and F sets are made from polyester resin (PE), unlike the School Holds A, B, C and the Originals, which are made from polyurethane resin (PU). The main advantage of using polyester resin is that the texture is resistant to polishing. This is particularly important when:

• The shape of the holds makes their use highly dependent on friction, as in the case of slopers or pinches
• The position of the holds is rarely changed, as on a training board with fixed holds like the MoonBoard

Due to the style and shape of sets D, E, and F, Moon has determined that polyester is the most suitable material choice. The downside of polyester is that it is more prone to chipping or breaking if dropped or if too much force is applied during fastening. Therefore, they must be handled carefully during unpacking and installation:

• If a hold falls on a hard surface or even on another hold, it is likely to chip
• If too much force is applied to the fastening bolt or anchor screw, there is a risk of breaking the holds

Moon recommends fastening the holds manually with a hand wrench and being careful not to overtighten either the fastening bolt or the anchor screw. Handle with care!

Handle them carefully during unpacking and installation, and they will provide you with many years of use.

INSTALLATION TIPS

• Do not use an impact driver to install the holds
• If a bolt hold has a screw hole, it is recommended to secure the hold with a small screw (about 4mm or 5mm in diameter). The screw should be long enough to go through the bolt hold and into the wooden panel on which the hold is mounted
