Petzl Ergonomic ice axe and drytooling

Petzl Ergonomic is an ideal ice axe for ice falls and drytooling, the most aggressive and technical from Petzl. With Ergonomic, you can tackle even the most challenging ice falls!

The grip is significantly shifted from the vertical of the axe, which is particularly useful during prolonged suspension phases. Additionally, to avoid overstraining the forearm, this type of grip can also be used with an open hand.
However, Ergonomic can also be held in other ways, as it features a double grip to facilitate hand changes.

Ergonomic comes with the Dry blade, excellent for particularly challenging and mixed walls. This blade is particularly thin and great for all types of ice and rock. It is serrated both at the bottom and the top, the former to aid in the pulling phase while the latter is for when it needs to be flipped.

Also on the blade, weights are mounted that make the entire axe more balanced and assist during the strike. With the Massellottes weights, the attachment will be much easier, especially on harder ice. If you want to use Ergonomic for drytooling, you can remove these weights to make the axe lighter, bringing it down to just 550 grams!

It also comes with the Griprest Ergonomic. This, fixed on the handle, provides comfortable rests and is compatible with all hand sizes, even with large gloves. It is extremely useful for those who love to practice drytooling.

Need to drive a nail? With Ergonomic, you can do that too. In fact, in addition to the accessories already described above, you will also have a Mini Marteau installed. However, if you want a lighter axe for drytooling, you can easily remove it.

If you want a larger hammer, Ergonomic is compatible with Marteau.

Ergonomic is also compatible with various accessories such as the Ice blade for ice and mixed climbing, the Pur'Ice blade designed exclusively for ice, and the Panne shovel, great for removing ice or snow.
