The Petzl Fifi is a hook used for positioning, progression, and lifting loads, and it is equipped with a quick link. The groove allows for connecting a recovery system to Maillon Rapide No. 5. The quick link moves freely in the groove, thus facilitating the recovery of the load from above. The lower carabiner hole is useful for connecting a lanyard, stirrups, or a bag.
WARNING: THE QUICK LINK SOLD COMBINED WITH THE PETZL FIFI IS NOT A PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). THE MAILLON RAPIDE N IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOADING AND RECOVERING EQUIPMENT!
The company Petzl was founded by two speleologists, Fernand Petzl and Pierre Chevalier. Together, they brought numerous innovations to their discipline and to sport climbing. In 1968, they began producing the first descenders, and in 1975, the Petzl brand officially entered the market. The company, founded in France, has always focused on research, development, and innovation; it is to Petzl that we owe the invention, in 1991, of the GRIGRI, the first self-braking belay device. In 2014, new branches were opened in Spain and Germany.
