Description
The SPEEDY by Petzl, sold in a pack of five pieces, is a lightweight quick link made of aluminum alloy designed for removable anchors on fixed ropes in caving; its quick opening – requiring only four turns of screwing – allows for fast and practical interventions in challenging environments, while its low weight (23 g) makes it an easily transportable tool. It is not suitable for creating belays in climbing, for which Petzl instead suggests the steel GO link when greater reliability on the wall is needed. The declared strength on the major axis is 15 kN, sufficient for caving needs, but not for mountaineering or traditional climbing purposes.
