Petzl Stop assisted braking caving descender
The assisted braking caving descender Petzl Stop is one of the most popular and trendy descenders among cavers, characterized by a self-locking system that activates in case of lever release.
Petzl Stop can be easily installed and removed from the rope without having to take it off the harness.
Very similar to the Simple (click here to view the product) by Petzl, the Stop additionally features a handle/lever connected to the lower pulley designed to confer you better control of the descent and facilitate maneuvers on the rope. The ergonomic handle makes the grip and use particularly comfortable.
The descent speed must still be carefully controlled, and it is recommended not to act on the lever to brake abruptly as this risks burning the rope sheath and damaging it.
Compatible with semi-static single ropes with a diameter between 8.5 and 11 mm.
The friction zones, pulley, and cam are made of stainless steel and guarantee you excellent durability.
