PIEPS Pro BT avalanche locator ARTVA
PIEPS Pro BT is an ARVA, a device for avalanche search that you should always carry with you for mountaineering and ski mountaineering outings when the danger, unfortunately, is always present.
This device is very simple to use and works both in search and transmission modes with a maximum battery life of up to 600 hours in transmission mode.
Here are the main features of this device, just as PIEPS tells us:
- Complete autotest: Checks all relevant hardware and software elements and displays the current software version.
- Very readable display in all lighting conditions.
- Auto Antenna Switch: if the transmitting antenna has a disturbed signal, transmission automatically switches to the second antenna (three in total).
- Auto Search To Send: if the device does not detect any movement for one minute, it automatically switches from search mode to transmission mode.
- iProbe Support: The PIEPS PRO BT can be temporarily deactivated by the smart probe iProbe. The strongest available signal is automatically displayed on the ARTVA receiver.
- Group check: Verifies the activity and frequency of the companion's device. PIEPS recommends performing an ARTVA check before every outing.
- SCAN function that allows you to view all ARTVA devices transmitting within the reception area.
- Victim selection: Increases efficiency in many situations where the rescuer finds themselves.
- An analog mode is also available for special searches.
- TX600 support: The PIEPS TX600 is a mini transmitter designed for animals or equipment, with a frequency different from the standard provided by the EN300718 regulation; the PIEPS PRO BT is capable of receiving this frequency.
- Inclinometer: The integrated three-dimensional inclinometer allows for precise measurement of slope inclination.
