Pomoca Race Explore 59 is a classic racing skin from POMOCA designed for those who want to approach the world of competitions and discover their runner side. Fast and easy to handle, it represents a suitable base for starting to compete and is also designed for the more experienced ski mountaineer who wishes to apply a personalized wax. The stated performance indicates a glide of 195 kcal/h and a grip of 37 g/cm², with a weight of 1150 g per meter and 98 g per skin in the size of 59 mm x 145 cm. The composition uses the POMOCA Formula.

The fastening system adopted is the Top Fix Race, a strap developed specifically for competitive use and designed to work optimally with skins in the Race category. This system, created in collaboration with athletes from the Swiss team, consists of a robust 3.5 mm elastic cord, an elliptical ring with two eccentric holes, and a terminal that allows for extremely quick removal of the skins. It is the lightest fastening system in the POMOCA range, weighing only 5 grams.

From a technological standpoint, the skin integrates SSL technology, which, thanks to thinner layers, reduces the weight of the classic SAFER SKIN membrane. The SAFER SKIN LIGHT version is lightened by 12%, equivalent to about 150 g/m² less, making the pair of skins approximately 60–75 grams lighter while maintaining 100% waterproofing. The EVER DRY 3.0 treatment is also present, resulting from a production evolution initiated by POMOCA in 2015 and culminating in the development of the first waterproofing treatment for skins without the use of perfluorocarbons. Initially introduced in 2017, this treatment goes beyond national regulations on materials and reflects the company's commitment to more eco-friendly solutions; since 2020, all POMOCA skins are PFC free.
