The Alien plate from Raumer is very similar to the Rock plate, but it has two holes to accommodate an additional carabiner when necessary: it is specifically designed for mountaineering, used in belays or when subjected only to a static load. The hole is 10 mm.
WARNING: This plate is made of AISI 316L stainless steel, but it is also available in Marina version, which is more resistant to corrosion from agents typically found near marine environments. Raumer applies a treatment for marine stainless steel that is divided into three phases: Solubilization - Pickling - Passivation. The icon of a stylized fish with the word INOX inside distinguishes the marine line from its standard version. Raumer is a company based in Schio, in the province of Vicenza, specialized in the production of hardware for various sports: climbing, mountaineering, canyoning, caving. The company was founded in 1992 by Cesare Raumer, the owner. He has managed to combine his deep passion for mountains, nature, and caving with mechanical technology. The company's strength has always been the use of AISI 304 stainless steel in the production of anchors. Currently, thanks to continuous experiences and acquired knowledge, AISI 316L stainless steel is used, which is even more resistant to abrasion. Raumer is therefore synonymous with quality, safety, and above all MADE IN ITALY: the entire production takes place in the Vicenza plant.
