The 120 mm Hang Fix double expansion plug is the largest and most robust from Raumer, with a diameter of 12 mm and an impressive length of 120 mm. Perfect for hard rocks such as granite, limestone, or dolomite, this type of anchoring also works very well in areas where the rock is soft or decayed on the surface but has a well-compacted base underneath.
WARNING: The Hang Fix M12XL plug is not recommended for extremely soft rock types such as sandstone. In this case, it is advisable to use chemical fixing anchors.
WARNING: Item 224 is made of AISI 316L stainless steel, but it is also available in the Marine version, which is even more resistant to corrosion caused by agents present near marine environments. Raumer performs a three-phase treatment for marine stainless steel: Solubilization - Pickling - Passivation. The plugs with this technology feature a circular throat and a bulging point on the head to clearly identify the type of Hang Fix installed. Item 304 (Optional)
Thanks to this detail designed on the heads of the Hang Fix plugs, there is certainty that no one can unscrew or steal the newly positioned anchor. Simply widen the two flaps created on the head of the plug: this way, in case of unscrewing, the nut locks onto the deformed threads and the pin rotates freely. To perform this operation effectively, we recommend using the Raumer punch (Item 305).
