SCARPA Mago are iconic climbing shoes that have been accompanying the best climbers in the most difficult ascents for years. In this new version, innovative materials and further perfected technologies enhance the potential of this shoe, improving its performance.
The very asymmetrical and downward-curved shape concentrates power on the big toe, allowing for high precision even on the smallest footholds. All of this is enhanced by the TPS insert combined with the X-Tension system. The former consists of a thermoformed insert positioned under the toe area that allows for better anatomical adaptation to the shape of your foot. The X-Tension, on the other hand, is a midsole present in the central area of the foot that adapts to it, perfectly adhering both during load and unload phases, allowing for better power transmission.
The new upper thoughtfully combines various elastic inserts made of perforated microfiber, supported by a triple-layer microfiber base. Combined with the lacing system, it offers optimal fit and great comfort. In the toe area, there is a very comfortable Alcantara insert.
The heel has also been improved, integrating PAF technology that allows for better force distribution while simultaneously improving fit and sensitivity. A noteworthy detail that significantly enhances comfort is the use of a softer rubber in the tensioning system in the Achilles tendon area. The sole is a guarantee: Vibram XS Grip2, the best in terms of grip on any type of terrain.
