Scurion 1500 Speleo kit lighting system for caving includes a 1500 Speleo lamp, two lithium-ion Li-ion battery packs with 4 cells of 6.8 Ah (7.2 V), charger, and mounting kit for helmet.
Scurion 1500 is the most powerful caving system on the market. With 1300 ANSI lm, it illuminates as much as a car headlight.
The system uses 2 single-chip Cree XM-L LEDs, which are smaller and have even more efficient performance. The electronics are indeed optimized to achieve very high efficiency (up to 94%).
One LED is focused light for long-distance illumination and a second wide-angle of 800 lumens for diffuse light for close-range illumination with a wider field of view and slightly tilted downwards.
In summary, you have a progression light and one to illuminate a very distant or very wide area for a total of 1300 lumens, 500 + 800 lm.
Unlike the Scurion 900 Speleo (click here to view the product), the 1500 is much more powerful both in progression with 800 lm of diffuse light power and in distance with 500 lm.
The light is white at 6000 Kelvin.
Each of the 2 LEDs is independently adjustable and each has 4 levels of illumination and power (1, 2, 3, 4 = low, medium, high, maximum). You can use them together or separately, achieving 24 adjustment combinations. Each power level has specific usage times and autonomy ranging from 2h45 to 106 hours (with Scurion 4 cell 6.8 Ah battery).
Scurion 1500 Speleo is equipped with a lithium-ion battery indicator for exceptional energy management, a lock switch for transport, an aluminum lamp body with large cooling fins efficient even at high powers, extremely durable glass with a scratch-resistant coating, which extends for the entire size of the lamp, IP68 waterproof (-20 m).
Additionally, there are no magnetic switches that could interfere with compass measurements.
