Versante Sud Civetta - Südseite explores the southern face of the Civetta, among the Dolomites, characterized by more accessible approaches but imposing vertical walls, such as the 700 meters of the Torre Trieste and the 1100 of the Busazza ridge. The Cantons of Pelsa and Busazza form a maze of spires and ridges that, while visually unified, are distinguished by their extent and altitude. Climbing offers good rock routes with natural protection, but there are also difficult paths, crumbling sectors, and challenging walls over 1000 meters.
The author, Manrico Dell’Agnola (1959), climber and photographer, has climbed in Italy and abroad, maintaining a deep connection with the Dolomites. He now lives in Mel as a creative, writer, and academic of the C.A.I., continuing to dedicate himself to climbing.
