The latest innovation in climbing friends is the New Friend by Wild Country. This two-axis friend with a single stem, available in six sizes, takes inspiration from the first friend invented in the 1970s by the genius Mark Vallance. The operation of this tool is enhanced by the construction in lightweight 6082 alloy forged hot, which, along with the particular shape of the cams and axes (cables), contributes to making the friend extremely light. The double axes allow for optimal use of the friend's movement to increase placement capacity. The 12 mm dyneema sling can be used single to extend protection or double to increase tensile strength.
