Wild Country Revo belay device climbing bidirectional
Wild Country Revo is the first bidirectional belay device with an assisted braking system. This means that its functionality is guaranteed regardless of which side the rope is inserted into.
The Revo works with a button that allows you to open it and slide the rope through a rotating cam. The Revo accepts ropes from both sides, thus avoiding the possibility of misorienting the rope.
The Revo accepts single ropes with a diameter between 8.5 and 11 mm, so practically all single ropes on the market can be used with the Revo.
In the event of a fall, the Revo activates by locking the rope with a snap of one of the two movable bridges; to release the tension, simply pull the rope from the other side so that the bridge jumps back and returns to position.
The descent works like in a normal bucket, which has the advantage of not twisting the rope like in classic assisted braking belay devices.
You cannot go wrong with the Revo: even if you are not using it correctly, the Revo will activate and stop the fall. Additionally, it can be used with any carabiner.
