BD Black Diamond Viper Hammer piccozza a martello con il manico da 50 cm. E' facile da maneggiare e particolarmente leggera grazie al manico fatto in alluminio. E' anche molto resistente in quanto la lama è in titanio che ne aumenta la durata sui terreni di montagna sconnessi.
Il manico presenta l'impugnatura in gomma per aumentare il grip. E' inoltre dotato di due ditali FlickLock, uno a fondo manico e uno a metà, per favorire l'utilizzo a due mani.
E' dotata di due fori per metterci un moschettone e appenderla: uno sulla testa e uno sul puntale.
La testa è modulabile è può essere usata con tutte le lame di Black Diamond, lo stesso anche il martello, che può essere sostituito dalla paletta.
Grazie alla sua curvatura questa piccozza è utilizzabile sia per l'alpinismo impegnativo sia per pareti di ghiaccio verticali.
