Arkose Madrid Carabanchel bouldering gym!
A sport activity that fears no age limits, not even “upwards,” sport climbing is a discipline that anyone can approach and that excites young and old alike: as proof of this great success, we can cite the many Team Building moments that now almost all climbing sports associations organize as well as birthday parties that combine a moment of play with a first climbing lesson.
The equipment needed to take your first steps on a bouldering wall is definitely within everyone's reach: comfortable clothing, a pair of shoes and some magnesite on your hands so you don't let go of even one hold! At Oliunìd Shop Madrid you can also find everything you need to build yourself a complete kit to approach the world of indoor or outdoor rope climbing: if you're in the area, stop by!

Sharma Climbing
After the historic opening of his first gym in Barcelona, Chris Sharma decided to expand the range of venues for Spanish and international climbers with the opening of Sharma Climbing Madrid. Incredible sport climber with an uncommon talent, Chris Sharma certainly could not be content with offering all climbing enthusiasts a “simple” bouldering facility: his gyms are also benchmarks for indoor rope climbing, with routes always freshly drawn on walls up to twenty meters high.
The opening in 2021 of the new center in Madrid has brought to the Spanish capital a 4,000mq climbing facility that offers the opportunity to try both rope climbing and bouldering and is often used for international events such as the simulation of the Olympic Combined Lead & Boulder Competition.
With courses for children as young as four years old and introductory classes for adults as well, it is, therefore, an excellent starting point for anyone still unfamiliar with the sport, but also a precious center for advanced climbers who are constantly looking for challenging routes so they can improve their level and test themselves for competitions.
Sputnik Climbing
The Sputnik Climbing group of gyms represents a historical reference for Madrid climbers, with the first Alcobendas climbing center opened in 2017 and followed a few years later by the Las Rozas gym. Founded as an agency of Alpine Guides, the project revolving around Sputnik gyms has always invested in climbing as a means of transmitting educational and environmental values, focusing on the well-being of everyone, both those who dream of trying climbing and those who work in this context.
However, Sputnik is not only synonymous with indoor halls: its universe branches out into the world of training, with courses for Mountain Technicians; health, involving a sports clinic; catering, offering snacks of the highest level in bar restaurants; and information, through El Cohete magazine.
A warm family welcome is among Sputniks' top priorities, helping you with your first climbing experiences, encouraging a fun time for the little ones or offering solutions to go try climbing all together as a family!
The gym is divided into four separate areas: an area for even the smallest children to take their first steps safely, a large bouldering area, a dedicated rope climbing area with more than 160 routes and as many as 45 stations for self-securing, and, no less important aspect, an inviting cafeteria. Impossible not to fall in love with such a comprehensive reality.

Climbat X-Madrid
Climbat X-Madrid recently included a new feature that will make top climbers excited: a new bouldering wall echoes the structure used for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, with a particularly overhanging section and new routes with a particularly demanding style!
The gym, which already counted nearly 2000 sqmof climbing surface area, has been one of the most important in the local climbing scene for years, managing to meet the needs of both newcomers and the strongest climbers in the area.
In addition to the classic offerings that almost all gyms have in common, such as courses and individual lessons, Climbat-X has several specific solutions for children and young people who want to have fun through verticality: an adventure park-style course for those who love challenges and climbing in a playful version!
Indoorwall Getafe
4,000 square meters of all-climbing facilities, with a creative-looking and super-colorful children's area as inviting as a real indoor playground! Indoorwall is a chain of gyms that has almost fifteen centers throughout Spain, and that makes Community its main strength.
In addition to the classic classes, there is a huge focus on offering children's services, with the organization of Birthday Parties, Children's Climbing School, and activities dedicated to the whole family. The Indoorwall team is also involved in activities for schools and Team Building, with a competitive panorama of activities offered throughout the year-including summer centers.
Each year the Getafe Indoorwall hosts Copa de Espana Lead, ensuring quality tracking, competitive environment, and fun for the public
Arkose Madrid Cuatro Caminos and Carabanchel
That of the Arkose is a historic chain d climbing gyms born and developed in France, with an incredible amount of centers scattered throughout the territory. Madrid represents their first cross-border opening: with a thousand square meters of walls dedicated to climbing, they have brought a completely new reality to the Spanish capital.
The Arkose bets everything on the quality of the environment: the somewhat vintage decorations, and the plants that decorate all the gyms giving a somewhat New York air to the room and especially the Cantine, make even the most refined climbers appreciate this type of room. The food offered in the Bistro always follows a Km0 menu of the highest quality, combining the sporting dimension of a climbing gym with the pleasantness of good food and refined ingredients.
The attention given to the little ones, for whom you can find in all Arkose a dedicated area adjacent to the restaurant room, makes many families with children approach this reality, combining the approach to a new sports discipline with a great aperitif among friends.
Carabanchel is the newest climbing center opened in September 2024; as always a new wave of energy and color, right in the center of Madrid that, like all Arkose, represents a reality out of the ordinary.

Uadibloc – Escalada para todos
Uadibloc presents itself as one of the most complete gyms in all of Madrid, and it has every reason to be: in addition to a bouldering room and an area dedicated to rope climbing-among other things, it is also possible to climb independently thanks to its innovative self-securing system-it has plenty of specific training equipment (Kilter Board, Japan Wall, weight room and beams), as well as an area dedicated to the little ones and a terrace for recharging your energy.
With always fresh and renewed tracking and constant attention to every detail, Uadibloc focuses everything on the quality of the facility and the training offerings of both indoor and outdoor courses. “Your first day on the rock” is one of the most interesting activities it offers, consisting of a coaching dedicated to anyone who already has a fair amount of experience in indoor climbing and who has some qualms about launching into the rock counterpart.
Salamandra Boulder Café
For almost two decades, the Salamandra Boulder Café has been welcoming passionate boulderers inside its hall with a decidedly more informal atmosphere than the gyms presented so far. This historic gym offers outdoor courses of various types, from sport climbing at crags to multipitch, as well as wall rescue courses and artificial or trad climbing.
The bouldering room is also equipped with a specific area for dry training, while the cafeteria boasts one of the richest libraries among all the gyms in Madrid. Visiting the Salamandra Boulder Café is a little trip inside the historic heart of Madrid climbing, where the spirit of adventure that led some pioneering climbers to open one of Madrid's first gyms still makes its enthusiastic and motivation-laden vibes felt.
Roc 30
The Federación Madrileña de Montañismo uses its facility both for indoor courses and as a reference point for the Escuela Madrileña de Alta Montaña. Here its trainees - and anyone who wishes - can gather to train together, taking advantage of the 350 meters of climbing surface, the routes, the weight room, and all the tools provided by the Federation.
At the center of d Roc 30's activities are, of course, the courses, but also an in-depth information work on all the news related to the climbing world, which you can find in the Noticias section of their website. The gym is part of the Desnivel project, one of the main climbing publishing houses in Spain, so inside you can also find a very rich selection of guides of bouldering areas and crags of Spain.
