The Edelrid Giga Jul belay device bucket and climbing descender is versatile, lightweight and durable, ideal in the mountains and with ropes between 7.1 and 10 mm in diameter.
The insurer is made of aluminum and stainless steel for the parts most subject to wear and friction, to offer you not only lightness but also strength and durability.
Giga Jul works both as a classic bucket insulator in "manual" mode and as an assisted braking system in "assisted" mode.
The two modes Guide and Guide to braking assisted actions intuitively based on the needs of the moment.
The first is designed to make sure of the first climber, recovery of the second and double down. The second, on the other hand, offers greater security in the event of the fall of the first climber. Even in this last mode, with assisted braking, you still have the possibility to quickly rope the first rope, simply by keeping the device in the "open" position, open with the thumb.
