DMM Aero HMS Locksafe triact lock climbing carabiner is designed for climbing and mountaineering and it is characterized by an automatic closing / opening system that includes three movements: sliding, rotation and subsequent pressure of the lever.

The Aero's solid bar construction creates a robust and wear resistant belay carabiner. Its full section top bar gives a consistent surface for the rope to run over, resulting in controlled movement when belaying. A taperlock nose gives high side loading and push in strength ratings, making the Aero very safe. An ideal belay carabiner for new climbers.
Belay carabiners give smooth and confident belaying with tube and assisted breaking belay devices. They have full section top bars for consistent rope control and reduced rope wear. Their shape resists flipping into sub-optimal orientations when belaying, acting to ensure the carabiner loads along its strongest axis.
D-Shaped carabiners encourage loading in their strongest orientation by forcing loads toward the carabiner spine. An Offset D refines this basic design by extending the top bar, increasing internal volume. This improves handling and compatibility with thick ropes and slings.
The nose design on these carabiners helps them resist shearing forces and achieve high side loading strength ratings. Taperlock is an evolution of our Keylock design, which gives a clean internal profile that prevents snagging on gear, bolts and slings.
A rope running over a full section top bar has more consistent handling characteristics than one running over an I-Beam surface. Our belay carabiners feature full section top bars for greater control rope control. Ropes loading over full section bar also bend less than those loaded over I-Beam surfaces, increasing rope longevity.
Locksafe is an auto-locking gate requiring three separate actions to open. Locksafe gates give extra security in complex rigging systems such as those featuring running ropes or remote anchor points.
