The BD Black Diamond Camalot C4 climbing friend, now in its updated version for 2019! The most used friend has been improved and its weight reduced by 10% without compromising strength!
The four cams are more shaped to create greater friction on the wall, while the double axle design allows larger cams to retract, offering a greater expansion range compared to traditional single axle units. However, the stem is simple with a robust and durable continuous cable (C-Loop).
The biggest innovation is found in sizes 4, 5, and 6, where the weight has been further reduced and a small hook has been introduced to keep the friend compact when inactive. This reduces the space occupied, allowing the entire set to fit in our harness. To use the friend, just squeeze the trigger (enlarged for a better grip), and you can use it as usual.
Another minor change is the addition of a black stripe on the webbing to further differentiate sizes with the same color.
