Beal Air Force 3 belay device climbing
Beal Air Force 3 belay device and descender allows you to secure or block your climbing partners independently from one another.
Air Force 3 accommodates single ropes, as well as two double or twin ropes, and using it is extremely simple and intuitive. Additionally, the addition of a small hole makes it easier to unlock the ropes even under tension.
The two V-shaped braking grooves equipped with asymmetric side notches allow you to control the descent and braking maneuvers on the rope, optimizing energy absorption in case of a fall arrest of the lead climber. The other two wide and smooth grooves minimize passive friction on the edges, limiting and eliminating rope wear during double rope descents or top roping.
Beal Air Force 3 has an adaptable braking strength for diameters ranging from 7.3 mm to 10 mm.
