Instinct VSR LV: the iconic climbing shoes by SCARPA are now available in a Low Volume version!

The new SCARPA Instinct VSR Low Volume
The Instinct VSR Low Volume is the latest climbing shoe model launched by SCARPA to make the low volume climbing shoes family even more complete! Within the Instinct series, which includes the classic model, the Instinct S, the VS the VSR, this new model comes as one of the softest and most flexible options of all.
The Instinct VSR LV are high-performance all-terrain shoes, with an edge of preference for technical bouldering on rock!

The new Instinct VSR LV are particularly appreciated by mid and high-level boulderers
The new features of Instinct VSR LV
More softness also means that we have achieved a particularly reactive boot, suitable for bouldering and bouldering enthusiasts who want to experiment with throws, chases and dynamic movements without being challenged by the stiffness of the sole.
The softness and dynamism of this model have been achieved by modifying the Bi-Tension tension level, the SCARPA technology that guarantees an optimal distribution of the climber's weight on the shoes, acting on support and flexibility.
This system, which uses a very thin layer of rubber on the sides of the liner, has been made softer on the Instinct VSR LV to make the pressure on the feet manageable even for climbers with a slimmer build.
Of course, they also differ from the other Instincts in terms of their internal volume and fit; they are designed for thin feet that are unlikely to fill the liner's internal spaces well, and offer an even tighter fit than the Instinct VS WMNs.

You will be able to manage the most technical toe-hooks!
What does Low Volume mean?
Although we have already become accustomed to seeing this wording on different types of shoes, often the particularity of having low volumes is associated with a model more suited to female morphologies, which is sometimes confirmed by the range of available sizes, usually smaller than the corresponding shoes with ‘standard’ volumes
In this case, on the other hand, we have a very wide range of sizes, available up to 45, to meet the needs of those with a large fit but a narrower foot morphology. The volumes of the Instinct VSR LV have been reduced mainly in the rear part of the foot, i.e. the part corresponding to the heel, while the front part has remained practically unchanged compared to the classic Instinct VSR. So if you had a feeling of poor heel grip with the previous model, it may be that the new Low Volume version is just for you!
What type of climber are Instinct VSR LVs designed for?
The Instinct VSR LV takes on the 'normal' model's aggressiveness and arching, mainly in the toe area, while the rest of the foot is medium-arched. Suitable for all types of climbing, from indoor to sport climbing and outdoor bouldering, this is a high-performance model.
However, the half sole always makes them very popular, especially with boulderers who can rely on the flexibility that this type of sole guarantees. They are shoes that perform very well on overhangs, from slight to very pronounced, and favour very precise toe hooks, thanks to the rubber that completely covers the toe, and impeccable heels.

Grip and support in the trickiest moments, thanks to the Bi-Tension system
Lacing system, sole and materials
The lacing is the same as that of the Instinct VSR, with a single Velcro closure; from the classic black and orange model they also take the materials of the rubber, the Vibram XS Grip², a compound that allows movement on minimal holds and guarantees excellent grip on any type of terrain, and the microfibre upper.
New colours, on the other hand, for the look, with a white and purple upper that brings a bit of freshness to the crag!
