SCARPA re-launches the historic Boostic with a new version: the Boostic R!

So many climbers have been clamoring for the return of the historic Boostic in the original Black and Orange versions, and now SCARPA's iconic climbing shoes are ready to deliver unforgettable days of climbing to anyone who seeks precision and comfort on sport climbing and multi-pitch routes.

The commonalities between Boostic and Boostic R.

The first feature that draws our attention is the upper, which not only echoes the historic colors of the original Boostic, but returns with a combination of 2 mm suede and microfiber. The breathable lining also contributes to making this combination of materials even more pleasant to the touch, finding the perfect combination of elasticity and maintaining the structure of the climbing shoes over time.

The entire upper is then made with a five-layer multi-panel technology that optimizes the fit without creating either gaps or annoying abrasion points. The shape of the sole of the foot was made using the proportions of climbers with narrow feet.If you, too, fall into this group, we recommend that you try the snug fit of the new Boostic R.

The V-Tension system

From the original Boostic, the new R's also take up the V-tension system, which works by taking advantage of the tensioning of the entire sole along its entire length to improve performance on technical or overhanging routes, where skilful footwork and maximum support under the entire arch is required.

Thanks to the use of the V-Tension system, SCARPA's Boostic R's will be able to keep all the characteristics of their structure intact for a long time. The R's Boostic will be your next indestructible crag shoe. Also for this new model the sole used is the 4mm Vibram XS Edge, ideal for pushing hard even on the smallest holds.

“Eco” processing for a new, more sustainable model

The new version of the Boostic brings with it greater attention to both the health of the environment and people, thanks to “metal-free” processing of the leather used in the upper. Another interesting novelty is in the lacing, here proposed with a double crossed Velcro system: in this way you'll be able to slip the booties on and off very quickly before and after each attempt, adjusting the internal volumes to the best in just a few seconds each time.

Form and aggressiveness

The Boostic R are shoes designed to meet the needs of intermediate and advanced climbers, who climb a lot at crags and on multi-pitch routes. They are therefore booties characterized by a strong asymmetry and a decisive arching of the sole of the foot, whose “management” is less demanding thanks to the support of the full sole.
