The Oval Compact Lock by Camp is an oval carabiner with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Sturdy like many D-shaped carabiners, the Oval Compact also offers perfect symmetry. Equipped with a Keylock closure to prevent snagging. Oval carabiners are ideal for use with pulleys, both in caves and on walls.
The company Camp was founded in 1889 in Premana (LC) by blacksmith Nicola Codega. His family began producing climbing equipment to facilitate the movements of Italian soldiers engaged in the Alps during World War I, particularly ice axes. After World War II, when the great Italian mountaineer Riccardo Cassin started working with the Codega family, the company transformed into a reference point for the production of all types of mountain equipment, so much so that today Camp is an internationally recognized brand of climbing tools.
