The self-braking descender for work at height and rescue maneuvers CAMP Safety Druid is compact and lightweight, designed for use with semi-static single ropes with a diameter between 10 and 11 mm.
CAMP Druid is equipped with a panic lever and a patented locking cam to ensure a large support surface and a very gentle closure. This feature helps reduce rope wear and maximize your safety on the rope.
How does the panic function work? By activating the lever, you begin the descent, but if you pull it excessively, it triggers and the device locks, stopping the descent.
To resume, simply release the lever to its original position and continue the descent by operating the lever again.
The descender has a body and lever made of forged aluminum, while the mechanical parts are made of micro-cast stainless steel.
The particular shape of the cam also allows for agile ascent on the rope, in combination with a handle and stirrup.
