CAMP Safety Turbochest chest ascender for work and caving

The CAMP Turbochest is a revolutionary chest ascender designed to ensure smooth interaction with the rope thanks to two rollers, improving efficiency during climbing. The ascent is significantly smoother compared to traditional models, and wear on the device is greatly reduced, especially in areas where the rope rubs against the body of the ascender. The profiled closure system of the device keeps the rope perfectly aligned with the body of the ascender, while the rollers prevent the rope from slipping during pendulum movements or narrow crossings. The self-cleaning holes on the body and gear prevent the accumulation of dirt and debris, while the thicker body plates and the shaped connection point reduce wear caused by movement between the device and the connector, especially when using a steel connector. This design helps keep the device aligned during use. The opening mechanism is simple and secure, with the possibility to lock the device for easier attachment. Additionally, a removable pull cable simplifies use, even when wearing gloves. The unique rollers also allow the CAMP Turbochest to be used as an ascender for light lifting work, with a maximum load of 50 kg (110 lbs), although this configuration is not suitable for lifting or securing bodies. The device complies with EN 12841/B standards for semi-static ropes from 10.5 to 12.2 mm and EN 567 for semi-static and dynamic ropes from 8 to 13 mm. The new feature for 2025 is the updated toothed Cam, made with precise MIM sintering technology to ensure better grip on the rope and increased resistance to wear and oxidation.
