The Pro Dry treatment involves a thermal sealing of the sheath and core fibers to ensure maximum handling of the rope, significantly higher resistance to moisture, water, and dirt compared to untreated ropes, thus increasing safety and lifespan of the rope.
Edelrid Starling Pro Dry 8.2 mm will absorb an amount of water that increases the rope's weight by only 2% in humid environments. It is not completely waterproof but offers excellent value compared to the 50% of an untreated rope.
Additionally, thanks to the Thermo Shield treatment, the rope remains very manageable over time without becoming stiff.
The Starling Pro Dry is created with 3D Lap Coiling technology, which consists of a preventive uncoiling that allows you to use it right away without worrying about creating unwanted loops.
