Idea Montagna Hiking in the Cozie Alps Northern-Central: Nestled between the small sector of the Maritime Alps (not too long ago nominally separated from the Ligurian Alps) and the much larger Graie Alps, which include the highest mountain in Europe, the Cozie group represents a little-known alpine region, not widely celebrated, now almost devoid of imposing glaciers like those of the Graie and Pennine ranges, but no less interesting, both in the southern sector, where the regular pyramid of Monviso rises, and in the northern-central sector, the subject of this discussion, where the third peak of the entire group, Pierre Menue, stands tall, and the last glacial remnants of the Ambin-Moncenisio subgroup remain. The 66 hikes traverse the Val Pellice, Val Germanasca, Val Chisone, Val Sangone, Valle di Susa, and Val Cernischia.
