The Kong Lys semi-automatic steel crampons are designed for classic mountaineering, featuring a structure with twelve points.Kong offers a hybrid system that includes an adjustable automatic lever on the heel, while at the tip there is a cage that wraps around the end of the boot.Made of carbon steel, they are durable and ultra-lightweight, weighing only 755 grams.The Kong Lys have a semi-automatic attachment and are compatible with all boots that have an automatic incision on the back, but not at the tip, which is usually less rigid compared to those for automatic crampons and consequently more sensitive to contact with the rock.The innovative rigid/foldable connection system allows the crampons to fold onto themselves, reducing their volume for transport while ensuring maximum reliability and stability during progression.The Kong Lys come with removable front and rear antibott, which prevent the uncomfortable and dangerous accumulation of snow under the crampons, a double size connecting bar (37/43) (42/47), and a Cordura case. Note that the Lys model for size 47 is truly at the limit of extension.They are also available in an automatic version for boots that allow compatibility with crampons both at the heel and at the tip.
