KONG Slyde rope adjuster
KONG Slyde is a rope adjuster that reduces impact forces and can be used with ropes with a diameter between 9 mm and 10 mm.
The user can build their own system that can be created by choosing the most appropriate way for the situation, taking into account the types of rope and connections, the number of forces involved, weights, environmental conditions (wet, dust, snow… make the rope stiffer and less slippery), wear and everything that could happen during use. If properly assessed, such parameters allow for a system fine-tuned to one's needs. Always remember that the free end of the rope must not detach from the Slyde, but leave enough length to dissipate the expected strongest shock!
Since it is not possible to test all configurations and uses, this device is not a PPE and has not been tested according to the EN958 standard.
