The Cyklon Cross GTX by La Sportiva is a trail running shoe with an integrated gaiter and Boa Fit System closure, designed for off-piste training and winter competitions in the mountains. This technical outdoor footwear ensures total protection against snow and mud thanks to the single-layer water-repellent mesh gaiter, anti-drag, and two-way stretch, completed by a water-repellent YKK side zipper with protective coating. Internal waterproofing and breathability are guaranteed by the flexible Gore lining and the GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane, with an environmental focus given by the recycled fabric entry lining and recycled material straps. The upper is made of three-dimensional anti-abrasion and anti-drag mesh fabric, enhanced by a perimeter band in microfiber with protective coating and a thermoplastic polyurethane toe cap. The precision of the fit is entrusted to the proven Boa Fit System closure, which uses components made from recycled material for quick and millimetric adjustment. The injected dual-density EVA midsole with stabilizing insert ensures maximum shock absorption and support on uneven terrain, working in synergy with the 4 mm eco-friendly Ortholite Hybrid Running ergonomic insole. The FriXion White compound outsole with very high grip and Impact Brake System technology offers optimal traction on slippery surfaces and is designed for use with removable AT Grip spikes in case of icy conditions. This model features a sole thickness of 28 mm at the heel and 21 mm at the forefoot, resulting in a 7 mm drop and deep 6.5 mm lugs to safely tackle the most severe winter conditions.
