Mammut 8.0 Alpine Dry Rope climbing rope
Mammut 8.0 Alpine Dry Rope is a half climbing rope that, thanks to its waterproof treatment, can be used for both multi-pitch climbing and mountaineering, as well as ice climbing. It is an innovation of Mammut's best-selling half rope, the Phoenix.
Very thin, it is perfect for those looking for a high-performance rope: lightweight, it helps reduce the weight you carry on your back, which is always significant!
The sheath is particularly smooth due to the use of high-quality yarns: this reduces the final weight and, thanks to the tighter weave, prevents dust from penetrating inside, prolonging the rope's lifespan.
Additionally, it features a Dry treatment that not only ensures waterproofing for the sheath and core of the rope but also helps prevent dirt from entering.
Since 2020, Mammut has achieved incredible results on all ropes with this waterproof treatment. Previously, this would lead to a slight stiffening of the sheath, but now you will notice that all ropes with Dry treatment are even softer than classic ropes!
