In the search for missing persons, the avalanche probe is used to locate the burial point, determining its exact position and depth.
The probe remains stuck and provides a guideline for the digging operations: you practically dig following the probe in the direction of the buried person.
Studies have shown that rescue operations carried out without the help of the probe for detecting the burial point take twice as long as those using the probe. Therefore, without the probe, it is practically impossible to carry out a rescue within the first 15 crucial minutes for survival.

Its length of 2.40 meters is divided into centimeters, ideal and crucial for quickly reading the burial depth but also for assessing the snow profile. This length covers the average burial depth of an avalanche.
Its torsional rigidity prevents unpleasant bending during probing operations, providing very precise results.
The use of a quick tensioning cable at the head of the probe allows for immediate extraction and extension.
