Description
The Petzl ABSORBICA-I 80 is a single lanyard with a compact integrated energy absorber, designed for progression on a horizontal lifeline (rope or cable) or on a lift platform without exceeding intermediate anchors. It absorbs energy in the event of a fall through progressive tearing of the energy absorber webbing, limiting the impact force for users from 60 to 140 kg. The compact design of the absorber minimizes bulk and does not hinder movement, while the durable fabric casing, with simplified opening, protects the absorber from abrasion and facilitates periodic inspection. The lanyard supports a maximum length of 100 cm (with connectors), offers various connection options to the harness (frequent connections via carabiner with STRING accessory or semi-permanent via RING OPEN), and accepts carabiners with a self-locking sleeve or MGO OPEN connectors with a large opening.
