Petzl Ange Finesse S+L quickdraw climbing
Petzl Ange Finesse S+L is an ideal quickdraw for mountaineering but also for anyone looking to save weight on climbing gear for sport climbing. This version is one of the new products from Petzl for the year 2019.
The carabiner features a technology called MonoFil Keylock, which means you will have a carabiner with a single wire gate, without the hook where the rope can accidentally get caught.
What is new about this quickdraw? In the webbing, we will no longer find a thin Dyneema webbing but a tapered nylon one, with a thickness ranging from 16 mm to 25 mm. This ensures better grip, increasing the sense of security when we have the quickdraw in hand. However, be careful, the modification of the webbing does not affect the weight.
The carabiner on the rope side is also equipped with a rubber webbing retainer (String) that prevents it from rotating.
This quickdraw comes in 3 different versions, distinguished by the carabiners:
-Ange S+S: two Ange S carabiners, ultra-light version.
-Ange S+L: rope side carabiner Ange L, which facilitates the clipping moment.
-Ange L+L: two Ange L carabiners that prioritize the act of clipping and the best ergonomics of the carabiner.
This is the version with one Ange S carabiner on top and one Ange L on the bottom, on the rope side.
