Petzl Croll L work and caving ventral ascender
Petzl Croll L caving ascender is the version designed for ascending large diameter ropes, from 8 to 13 mm.
With a simple and lightweight design, Petzl Croll L is efficient and easy to use in any condition, even on wet or muddy ropes.
Petzl manufactures the ascender in aluminum, with a stainless steel toothed cam and a polyamide opening lever.
The stainless steel is designed to resist corrosion and improve the longevity of the product.
You achieve the best performance by using Croll L in combination with a mobile ascender, such as the Basic or the jumar handle Ascension.
Structurally, it has a lower hole designed to maintain adherence to the body during ascent; an upper hole designed to attach the chest harness and keep it in position.
Unlike the Croll S, this new version has a much wider rope passage throat, designed to reduce friction on large diameter ropes.
